What This Plugin Does

• Redirects customers to the Paymenthood hosted checkout at order confirmation
• Returns them to VirtueMart with an automatically updated order status
• Handles refunds, failures, and cancellations in real time via webhooks
• Supports sandbox (testing) and live (production) environments

Requirements

• Joomla 4 or 5
• VirtueMart 3 or 4
• An active Paymenthood merchant account

Technical

Built as a native VirtueMart payment plugin (vmpayment group). Credentials and
webhook secrets are stored in Joomla’s extension params. Order status mapping
(pending, confirmed, refunded, failed) is configurable per VirtueMart payment
method instance. Webhooks are Bearer token authenticated and re-verified against
the Paymenthood API before any order is updated.
